1. HUMILITY - PROTECT TO PREPARE:
Matthew 18:3 [Jesus]
said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change
and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this
child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 "And whoever welcomes a little child like
this in my name welcomes me. 6 But if anyone causes one of these little ones
who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large
millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Ø The cocoon of change is in community – not programs,
not activities; through authentic Bible study relationship in a family
unit. Thinking of others empowers us to
put them first, through:
· Gentleness – by not demanding your
own way, but living as a servant.
· Patience – by steeping in
difficulties to learn not to explode at others.
· Serving – by approaching it as
training in order to become an experienced servant.
Ø We are responsible before Him to protect our
little ones, and not to become a stumbling block to them as we raise them for
God.
