She Is Loyal

Glory to God is the number one purpose of the emancipated woman,
and evidence that she makes God the first priority of her day,
and ends each day with God to the exclusion of all else.

Matthew 26:6 While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, 7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. 8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. 9 "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor."10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13 I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."  14 Then one of the Twelve--the one called Judas Iscariot--went to the chief priests 15 and asked, "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?" So they counted out for him thirty silver coins. 16 From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.”

o   Personal observations of how this applies to the Christian woman today.

Matthew 15:21-28

  • The Christian woman seeks the Lord’s solutions to her problems before she cries out for help from others, and she praises the Lord’s solutions before expressing her gratitude to others’ aid.
o   In our service to others, us women must purposefully remember that ALL are God’s children and worthy of hearing the Gospel and seeing His love through us, regardless of our personal opinion of that person.

Luke 7:1-10

  • The Christian woman believes her prayers are answered at the very moment she prays them, even though she may never “see” the results.
o   In our service to others, us women who feel anxious need to recognize that as a warning - that we are not trusting God enough to handle our problems.  We have to purposefully say to our problems that our God is stronger than our biggest problem.

Luke 7:18-35

  • The Christian woman recognizes that her obedience does not make her greater than any other believer.
o   In our service to others, us women must believe that as a child of God made in His image, we are a reflection of His righteousness, made possible through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  We must purposefully believe that other Christians carry these same blessings, even if we cannot see them in their lives.

Luke 21:1-4

  • The Christian woman gives of herself unconditionally.
o   In our service to others, us women must purposefully allow our love for God to spill over and pour out to others in our life, and not dam it up and hoard it for ourselves.

Nehemiah13:1-31

  • The Christian woman chooses to be obedient to God, not so that she will be noticed by mankind, but that she will be noticed by God.
o   In our service other others, us women must continually watch out for the dangers of doing our good works before mankind, whether it be from our own volition, or from their whims.  We must make sure our heart is pure before God and our motives are for His glory and not our own or to please anyone else.

Matthew 25:34-36

  • The Christian woman recognizes that her faith enables her to do good works for the kingdom of God – but that her good works are not what “saves” her, because she is already a member of the “family” of God, she is already saved by His Grace, so her good works are not “reserving” a place in the kingdom – they are serving the family of God and being a light to the lost.
o   In our service to others, us women need to remember that we do not have anything to prove.  We are accepted by God through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  That’s all the qualifications we need to be a Christian!

1 Thessalonians 1: 2-10

  • The Christian woman knows that she can do all things through Christ as He empowers her to do so - through her own power.
o   In our service to others, us women need to remember that when our spirit is weak, Jesus is strong, which makes our spirit stronger and our carnal nature weaker.

Revelation 2: 1-7

  • The Christian woman knows that success as a Christian is not simply doing good works or enduring hardships, it is pursuing Christ through it all.

o   In our service to others, us women need to be authentic in our faith journey because God made us unique.  If we are synthetic in our faith journey, we make ourselves out to be a copy-cat of other Christians, instead of living our life in Christ’s image.

She Is Faithful

Faithfully submitting her will to God, moment by moment, the woman steps away from bondage and toward emancipation, willing to be used as the instrument through which God provides the needs of others.  However, she does not step out to help before lifting their needs to Him.

o   Personal observations of how this applies to the Christian woman today.

Deuteronomy 15:1-11

  • The Christian woman does not hold back in helping the needy, nor does she cast judgment upon their circumstances, and she definitely does not draw them into a contract to pay her back in any way.
o   In our service to others, us women must not gloat when we discover someone in worse circumstances than our own, and we must not whine when we find ourselves in worse circumstances than others.  We must be willing to serve to whatever capacity we are able, either in our poverty or in our plenty.

2 Kings 4:1-7

  • The Christian woman is not afraid to ask for help when she herself is in need, and she is diligent with the help that she receives.
o   In our service to others, us women know that we cannot help others when we are in need ourselves.  If someone seeks our help, we must first ask for God’s help to meet that need, so that it is His power that makes things happen, and not our own, so that He gets the glory.

Isaiah 31:1-5

  • The Christian woman knows that she must not rush to the aid of others without first, being asked for her help, and second, seeking God’s heart on the matter.

o   In our service to others, us women must honor the fact that God has a plan for everyone, and we must seek His guidance as to our part of that plan, if any, and we must not demand to be made part of that plan, but submit our will to Him and be used by Him according to His Will.

She Is Qualified

Qualifications of a servant are evident through the emancipated woman, as she is responsive to God’s leading to serve others, and recognizes her giftedness through helping others in a capacity that exceeds their needs, for His glory and not her own.

o   Personal observations of how this applies to the Christian woman today.

Matthew 25: 31-46

  • The Christian woman is always willing to serve, for she never knows when she is serving an “angel” unaware.  The Lord makes it easy to serve Him, for He fills her with overwhelming compassion for those He wants served.
o   In our service to others, us women need to keep in mind that we are children of God, knowing that He is always watching, and we need to be willing to help others in whatever way the Spirit guides us, without resentment or bitterness, so that God can be glorified through our service.

Mark 12:41-44

  • The Christian woman does not boast in her giving, and she is not pompous about it, or compare it to anyone else’s giving.  Her motives are simply to glorify God – not to receive praise from man.
o   In our service to others, us women must be careful not to volunteer to do things for others just to be noticed.  Our reason for volunteering to help someone should simply be in the joy of serving the Lord.

John 1:40-42

  • The Christian woman seeks answers from Christ Himself and is rewarded for her faith.  She does not put her trust in “anyone” else and works for “no one” else.
o   In our service to others, us women who care for children need to be careful not to let children get caught in our apron strings.  We need to let them discover Jesus through us, but then we need to let them follow Him at their own pace, in their own way.  As we seek His guidance to lead children, we will be rewarded by the evidence of their faith.

Acts 11:19-30

  • The Christian woman is made stronger as she perseveres through hardship, and out of great persecution comes a greater reward of comforting others in similar situations.

o   In our service to others, us women will always experience something difficult in our life, and there will always be someone to say something negative about the way we handle those difficulties.  But when we are filled with joy upon helping others in a similar situation as our own, then we can know with all certainty that God’s blessing is upon our life and upon others whom we encounter.

She Is Respected

Respect for the emancipated woman is earned as she becomes influential
in the furtherance of the gospel, as she yields to God’s leadership in her life.

o   Personal observations of how this applies to the Christian woman today.

Matthew 24:1-34

  • The Christian woman is willing to be used by God every day to proclaim the emancipation of woman by Christ to mankind everywhere.
o   In our service to others, us women must remember our primary mission, as commanded at the Cross by Jesus Himself, is to proclaim the message that the curse of Eden has been reversed.  Woman is no longer in bondage to her husband.  She is free to approach the Cross and receive the Grace given to all mankind, to receive the command to go and sin no more, to bring hope to the widowed and the fatherless.

Matthew 28:1-20

  • The Christian woman takes her responsibility to teach her children very seriously, in order to obey Christ’s command, and to equip her children to obey Him, too.
o   In our service to others, us women must believe the New Covenant through which The Great Commission was not limited to men, but also given to women and children who were in the crowds when Jesus ascended into Heaven.  Even the angels conveyed to those to looked on after Him told them that they had work to do and that they should get busy, because Jesus would be coming back to collect what was His!

Mark 13:1-37

  • The Christian woman must be willing to speak her heart without fear of judgment.
o   In our service to others, us women must believe that God has created woman to be prepared and watchful in her natural habitat as a mother.  Through Christ’s sacrifice, woman has been freed from the bondage of sin and death.  Through the authority given to her by Christ through His Spirit, she is free to speak openly about her Lord and Savior in an effort to prepare future generations for His return.

Mark 16:1-20

  • The Christian woman is empowered by the Spirit of God to speak His truth in love.
o   In our service to others, us women need to cherish the hope given to us in the fact that Jesus first chose to reveal Himself after He had risen from the dead, to a woman.  He further announced that any man who did not listen to what Christ commanded woman to say on His behalf would be condemned.  Therefore, we must be obedient and share what Christ speaks to us through His Word, which was made available to all mankind through His Spirit.

Luke 24:1-53

  • The Christian woman is confident that whatever she asks in Christ’s name, she will receive the answer that brings the most glory to God.  And she waits for that answer before taking any action.
o   In our service to others, us women must cling to the promise from Christ that by His Spirit, He will help us in our day-to-day life as we serve Him in the capacity of wife to our husbands and mother to our children, so that God may be glorified through our family.

Revelation 14:1-20

  • The Christian woman’s role in the kingdom of Heaven is to produce a future generation that places a higher priority on pursuing God than pursuing their own interests.
o   In our service to others, us women have the opportunity to show that it is through the emancipation of woman that God changed the world, as a result of Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross, and that it is through woman that He will continue to bring redemption to the world as she raises children that desire to know Him.

Psalm 112:1-10

  • The Christian woman is not easily dissuaded in her devotion to God, unless change would bring Him more glory.  She does not change her ideals simply for mankind’s benefit, no matter how positive they are.
o   In our service to others, us women have the opportunity to show that God has honored mankind above all creation with the ability to procreate life in His image.  And that He has set woman in a category all her own as the one who carries and nourishes new life, also in His image.

Proverbs 10:1-32

  • The Christian woman has her priorities in line with God’s Word:  Good works do not produce righteousness – righteousness produces good works.
o   In our service to others, specifically as wives and mothers, us women need to set the standard in the home that it’s not hard work that develops a pure heart, but that devotion to God develops an obedient heart.

2 Timothy 1:3-14

  • The Christian woman carries on her Christian heritage.
o   In our service to others, us women have the responsibility to teach the children their heritage, so that they understand where they come from and what passions course through their veins.  When a woman refuses to pass on the legacy of her family, she reveals that she is ashamed of who God fashioned her to be, thus revealing her lack of understanding of the gifts God has given her.

Exodus 12:1-30

  • The Christian woman encourages all women to rejoice in their emancipation, equality and freedom in Christ.
o   In our service to others, us women work through the Freedom that comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ, which God chose to bring into the world through a woman, therefore reversing the curse of Eden.  No longer does woman stand in the shadow of men, but she is equal in spirit.

Exodus 16:1-36

  • The Christian woman commemorates the events in her life as a testimony to the Lord.
o   In our service to others, us women need to remember that The Law was the Old Testament manna, and that The Gospel was the New Testament manna.  For us now, The Bible is today’s manna.  It is woman’s responsibility to gather the manna and prepare it for her family six days out of the week, gathering an extra portion on the sixth day so that she is free on the seventh day to glean from the Lord through her husband.

Exodus 28:1-43

  • The Christian woman examines the meanings of names, and regards people according to those meanings, whether they choose to live by them or not.
o   In our service to others, us women are a living legacy for the Lord.  By His hand, our parents name us, our mothers nurture us and our fathers admonish us.  Our very name has as much meaning and purpose to the Lord as His very name has power.

Numbers 15:37-41

  • The Christian woman’s Bible is well marked to remind her of her journey with the Lord, and she shares that journey with her children, to someday share with theirs.
o   In our service to others, us women will do well to keep in mind that the downfall of man comes through the lust of the eyes and flesh, and the pride of life.  If we teach our children to watch for these pitfalls, we bring glory to God by raising godly children.

Numbers 16:28-40

  • The Christian woman keeps in perspective that it is through the Law that Christ came, and that Grace came through Christ.
o   In our service to others, us women will do well to remember the differences and shortcomings of mankind.  Men focus on the Law of God but overlook the Grace of God.  Women focus on the Grace of God without understanding the Law of God.  It is important for both men and women to fully understand both concepts in order to completely comprehend the truth of what happened at the Cross and how woman has been emancipated through the New Covenant with Christ.

Joshua 4:1-24

  • The Christian woman is passionate about history and genealogy, and teaches her children the ways of God in the past, present and future.
o   In our service to others, us women must be prepared.  The fast pace of the world can be overwhelming for both a man and a woman, struggling to maintain righteous living in a material world.  It can lead us to believe that we don’t have time to delve into The Word, and eventually pull us away from all the things that draw us closer to God’s heart.  One of the ways women can return to a daily routine with Jesus is through teaching her children how to pray, reading them the exciting stories of Bible characters, and helping them make memories of those moments by discussing them every day, keeping it short and simple, but lively and expressive, with the most important point being in allowing the children to express themselves, ask questions and seek the Lord themselves.  The reward of leading children to The Word is far greater than any other task on earth.

Joshua 24:1-27

  • The Christian woman offers visual mementos for her children to remember the teachings of God, following Jesus’ example, as He told the Pharisees that if His disciples did not praise Him the very rocks themselves would shout out!
o   In our service to others, us women will find it easier following the example Jesus left of how to teach children about God through His parables.  He provided visual lessons that allowed the hearers to literally experience what He was saying.  And whenever His lessons were hard to comprehend, He always pointed the hearers back to developing their faith, which Paul expounds on in his epistles by saying that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”.

Luke 22:7-38

  • The Christian woman uses analogies to draw out the meaning of Christ’s teachings.
o   In our service to others, us women must pay close attention to what the Word of God says.  Often, Jesus would say, “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says”.  This means that discernment is required to pull the facts out of the parables and analogies to avoid scripture twisting and false teaching.

Acts 10:1-48

  • The Christian woman keeps a journal of her prayers and a log of her gifts of service – not to boast in her good works, but to remember God’s faithfulness.
o   In our service to others, us women may find this as a challenge, but necessary to work on for our peace of mind and successful testimony.

Hebrews 11:1-40

  • The Christian woman gives the very best of herself to God, and all who have been graced by her influence will be blessed.
o   In our service to others, us women must serve with confidence.  Jesus often said to people who had the courage to boldly ask Him for help, that their faith made them strong.  We are given countless examples in Hebrews 11 of the many influential people whose faith was very strong and enabled them to do many great things, confirming that God’s divine power gives us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him (2 Peter 1:3), keeping in mind that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

2 Peter 1:12-21

  • The Christian woman never stops talking about the things of God – ever.

o   In our service to others, us women by God’s grace, leave an unending legacy of love for our children and their children by always pointing them to the Word of God every chance we get.
