She Is Knowledgable

Knowledge of the scriptures is the difference between a woman’s bondage or emancipation.

CROSS-REFERENCES TMATTHEW 26:6-16
According to Thompson’s Chain Reference

·         Paraphrase of Thompson’s commentary.
o   Personal observations of how this applies to the Christian woman today.

Proverbs 18:1-24

  • The Christian woman draws out the truth, but does not jump ahead of God to use it to bring events into motion.
o   In our service to others, us women must rembmer that though God has granted us the gift of discernment, we cannot bulldoze our way into others’ lives without their prompting or God’s leading.

Proverbs 28:1-28

  • The Christian woman is not obsessed with being in control, but rather recognizes when she needs to pass on the baton to a worthy teammate.
o   In our service to others, us woman must pay close attention to the many factors that weigh in the matter of our abilities.  We am limited by our availability through time, resources, knowledge and health.  We need to be willing to ask for help or suggest a better person for the assignment in these circumstances.

Jeremiah 5:1-31

  • The Christian woman “looks” for the way that pleases God, and “listens” to His leading.
o   In our service to others, us women need to be “in tune” with the Word of God in order to “see” what He wants us to see, and to “hear” what He wants us to hear – in other words, to have an open mind to Him.

Matthew 13:10-23

  • The Christian woman is not easily distracted by the cares of this world or what it has to offer.
    • In our service to others, us women should have no need to watch the news, read the newspaper or listen to the radio, because all that we will be exposed to is doom, gloom and every type of advertisement that only leads to corruption.  We need to trust our husbands to shield and protect us from the filth of the world, as God designed for them to do as the “heads” of our households.
